Keg Carbonation Methods

Carbonating your beer in a keg is simple here are two easy methods to get the perfect pour.

Method 1: Set and Forget.

The most reliable way to carbonate.

How to:

1. Chill beer to 2–4°C.

2. Set regulator to 10–12 psi (depending on desired carbonation).

3. Leave connected for 7–10 days.

4. Once carbonated, adjust serving pressure to suit your system.

Steady carbonation with minimal risk of over-carbonating.

Method 2: Forced Carbonation.

A faster way to get beer ready to serve.

How to:

1. Chill beer to 2–4°C.

2. Set regulator to 30 psi and rock or shake the keg gently for 5–10 minutes.

3. Disconnect gas and let the keg sit 12–24 hours.

4. Drop pressure to serving level (10–12 psi) and test carbonation.

Quick results, ideal when you need beer ready fast.
